Holy Spirit In Me

Today : Holy Spirit In Me

TODAY’S VERSE
“So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil,’ which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires.” Galatians 5:16 – 17

TODAY’S THOUGHT
The fight between good and evil can really get old. This is especially true when we are talking about our own behavior. Which of us has not experienced the struggle between the Holy Spirit inside us and what Paul calls our “sinful nature”? Paul points out the difference in outcomes between both. He writes, “When you follow the desires of your sinful nature, the results are very clear: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. – But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.” The point is clear. Paul says that we need to let the Holy Spirit guide our life if we want to see the Spiritual results that our heart really desires. Today, yield to the guidance and direction of the Holy Spirit. Ask Him to assist you in everything you do. Focus on the fruit of the Holy Spirit and watch it grow.

TODAY’S PRAYER
Father, thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit that is alive in my heart. I confess my struggle with my sinful nature and ask that the fruit that comes from fellowship with the Holy Spirit will grow in my life.
AMEN
